Global Development Report on An Eco-Security System for All People
The Global Development Report on An Eco-Security System for All People (referred as NESS Global Progress Report) is an annual publication that publicly showcases the global progress and research achievements of NESS. It will consistently document and update the progress of NESS promotion in various countries around the world, as well as the research findings related to the theme of "One Target · An Eco-Security System for All People" on a global scale. It will include individuals who have made significant contributions to research and actions, as well as important achievements related to the Eco-Security conditions necessary for the long-term survival of humanity, throughout history. With the deepening of research, each continent can produce separate "volume", and each country can separate "sub-volume".

The NESS Global Progress Report (Vol. 1), titled A Promise: “An Eco-Security System for Our Kids" is scheduled for publication in the early 2025. It is a solemn promise made by all organizations and experts included in this book to our kids that the global scientific community will pay close attention to the Eco-Security conditions necessary for the long-term survival of the people in his/her own country (and humanity).
This will mark the first step in which global scientists reach a broad consensus on "One Target · An Eco-Security System for All People." Such promises from the entire scientific community form the basis for substantial research collaboration across all disciplines. The effort will quickly build NESS Academic Community for each country. Therefore, the NESS Index is also called the NESS Promise Index.
Progress in building the NESS Academic Community in Uganda
Note: Each hive represents one institution, including all universities and research institutes, and other institutions that make promises. The institutions marked with red hearts are those that have been lighted up. The illustration shows that Uganda has 69 universities and 10 research institutes. By the end of May 2024, 40 universities, 5 research institutes and 54 other institutions have made promises by experts.
To establish the NESS Academic Community in Uganda, it is essential to secure solemn promises from experts at the remaining universities (41 to 69) and research institutes (75 to 79) as soon as possible. This will ensure the participation of all disciplines in building the NESS Academic Community. In the future, the academic community within the country will actively engage in the research, development, and long-term maintenance of its own NESS for the long-term survival of its people.
The book will document the progress of each country across all continents and will feature a comprehensive list of universities and research institutes in each country. Institutions that have experts and scholars who have made promises will be highlighted in color (we refer to this as being "lighted up"), while those without promises will appear in gray. The report will also include a list of all the support experts associated with each highlighted institution.
The institutions and experts featured in the NESS Global Report (Volume 1) are pioneers in the vital initiative on Eco-Security for all people on the earth, and they will take great pride in this honor.

The Global Development Report of An Eco-Security System for All People (referred to as the NESS Global Report)
The NESS Global Report provides insights into the overall mindset and commitment of the academic community in addressing eco-security challenges, thereby shaping the country’s global reputation. The NESS Global Report will be distributed annually to heads of countries, national libraries, and university libraries. |
The NESS Index for each country will accompany the publication of the NESS Global Report. This index measures the level of endorsement among scientists in a particular country for securing the essential ecological conditions necessary for the long-term survival of their own children, all children, and the population as a whole in the country. It is calculated based on the number of research organizations that have made the promise and the percentage of these organizations out of the total number of research institutions in the country. The NESS Index indicates the academic community's level of dedication to ensuring Eco-Security for the country's population. This index provides insights into the overall mindset and commitment of the academic community in tackling eco-security challenges, shaping the country's reputation.
